Hi I am Angie Campos, a 4th semester nursing student. This site informs patients and caregivers to learn all about lupus. This site is dedicated to my Nina (Godparent) Delia Torres. She has lived with lupus for years and is still fighting strong. I can relate to the concerned family members who want to know more about this disease and seek help for the patient. I hope my site will make a difference in your lives to make this process a little more smooth. I commend every person living with lupus because I have seen how difficult it can be to live with disease and how it may disrupt your day to day lives. Enjoy the site!
Learn lupus info was created to inform lupus patients and caregivers the basics of lupus. As a nursing student and having a family member living with lupus, I was inspired to inform people what lupus is and from a family member’s point of view, how to care for your family member living with this disease. There are many helpful aspects to this site including: what is lupus, signs and symptoms, what to expect from the disease, medications that are commonly used, how to care for and change central IV catheter, informational videos, pictures of what lupus may look like (affecting the skin), quizzes, links to websites, mobile apps, connecting on Facebook to lupus support groups and more.
